The six problems with Spotify are:
1: A faulty tagline of "All the music. All the time."
Without being able to play The Beatles you can't make that claim in my book. No Blink 182 either...I'm sure there are others.
2: Advertisements
2: Advertisements
I realize advertisements make the world go round, but do they have to cut into my tunes and play some obnoxious release of an artist's music clip I definitely don't want to listen to? Grooveshark does it right, making their ads unobtrusive. They sell premium memberships just like Spotify but you don't see them being greedy turds and disrupting my jam session.
3: A 15-20 second ad after playing only one song. One song!
5: Spam email
I receive an email "newsletter" from Spotify about the top songs of my area and at the bottom is an unsubscribe link. I click it and have to log into my account on their website only to find check boxes to subscribe for email and SMS text updates are unchecked. Thanks for the spam and no way to stop them from coming!
6: Free Spotify accounts for your friends
I've been logging in the past couple days and this message shows at the top of the program:
"You've been selected to get free Spotify accounts to give to your friends".
The account was free for me, and for everyone else (at least in the U.S. from what I can tell), and you don't have to be invited because it wasn't a limited release (even a fake one like google+ offered). Friends are over-rated and who really needs them when you can go to the website, enter your email, invite yourself, and download Spotify in a matter of minutes. No friend invited needed.

4: Error Code 4
When you've been disconnected from the internet a link for Error Code 4 comes up. When you click, the link attmepts to take you to a help page on Spotify's website. Does this make any sense? I don't have internet, why would I be able to view online help?
